Fishing for salmon on both the Kenai River and Kasilof River is an unforgettable adventure set against the stunning wilderness of Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula. Known worldwide for its abundant runs and record-breaking catches, the Kenai River & Kasilof Rivers hosts all five species of Pacific salmon, including the prized king salmon, which can exceed 50 pounds. Sockeye salmon are of the highest quality of salmon available. Kenai River sockeye salmon average 6-10 pounds. During the peak run the sockeye limit is six fish per day, per angler. Sockeye run from mid June through mid August.The river’s turquoise-blue waters wind through picturesque forests and mountain backdrops, creating a scenic setting for anglers. Silver salmon run from early August through mid September.
